The Industrial Development Bank (IDB) participated in the activities of the “Deepening Local Manufacturing” Exhibition, organized by the Engineering Industries Chamber from January 22 to 24, 2026, at the Cairo International Convention Center in Nasr City, as part of the Bank’s commitment to supporting the industrial sector and reinforcing the State’s efforts to localize industry and increase reliance on locally manufactured products.

The exhibition serves as a key platform bringing together manufacturers, government entities, and financial institutions. It witnessed the participation of more than 200 factories from various engineering sectors, in addition to a number of industry-related entities, contributing to connecting manufacturers with investors, supporting local supply chains, and reducing dependence on imports.

The Bank’s participation underscores its role as a development partner supporting Egyptian industry, through the provision of specialized financing solutions and banking services aimed at supporting industrial projects, particularly those operating in the fields of reverse engineering and deepening local manufacturing, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian products.

The Bank’s pavilion witnessed strong interest from factory owners and entrepreneurs, where the Bank’s team showcased a range of banking products and services tailored to the industrial sector, in addition to introducing financing programs that align with market needs and support production expansions.

In this context, Mr. Hussein Refaie, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the Industrial Development Bank, stated:

“The Industrial Development Bank places supporting the industrial sector at the top of its priorities, as it is one of the main drivers of economic growth. Our participation in the Deepening Local Manufacturing Exhibition reaffirms the Bank’s commitment to supporting manufacturers and providing flexible financing solutions that contribute to industrial localization and enhance the added value of the national economy.”

The Bank confirmed that its participation in the exhibition is part of a comprehensive strategy aimed at strengthening direct engagement with the business community and gaining a deeper understanding of manufacturers’ needs on the ground, which contributes to developing more efficient banking products aligned with the requirements of the industrial sector.

The Industrial Development Bank continues its efforts to support national industry, in line with the State’s vision for achieving sustainable development and strengthening partnerships between the banking sector and the productive sector.
