The Industrial Development Bank (IDB) has won two prestigious international awards as part of The Global Economics Awards 2025, organized by The Global Economics organization, during its annual ceremony held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with the participation of a distinguished group of leading banking and financial institutions from around the world.

The bank was honored with the following awards:

• Outstanding Contribution to SME Empowerment – Egypt 2025

• Leading Bank for Industrial Financing – Egypt 2025

These awards recognize the bank’s pivotal role in empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and its success in strengthening industrial financing as one of the key pillars supporting the national economy and increasing productive capacity.

The awards were received by Mr. Hussein Refai, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the Industrial Development Bank, during the ceremony.

This international recognition reflects the success of IDB’s strategy in providing integrated and innovative financing solutions aimed at supporting productive sectors, deepening local manufacturing, and contributing to the achievement of sustainable economic development, in line with the Egyptian state’s directions and vision to support national industry.

The bank affirmed that this achievement represents international recognition of its institutional efficiency as a full-service commercial bank, the effectiveness of its credit policies in supporting entrepreneurs and productive projects, as well as its role in enhancing financial inclusion and expanding the base of beneficiaries of banking services.
