In a remarkable achievement that reflects the bank’s efforts in development and institutional transformation, the Industrial Development Bank has won the "Excellence and Banking Achievement Award for Restructuring and Development for 2025," awarded by the Union of Arab Banks. The award was presented during the Excellence Awards Ceremony, held on the evening of Friday, July 18, 2025, in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
The award was received on behalf of the bank by Mr. Ibrahim Saadallah – Head of Retail Banking and Branches, and Mr. Jamal Abdel Nasser – Head of the Legal Sector, during a ceremony that was attended by high-level representatives from Arab banks and financial institutions.
On this occasion, Mr. Hussein Rafai – CEO and Managing Director of the bank, stated:
"We are proud to receive this award, which reflects the tremendous efforts made in implementing a comprehensive restructuring plan aimed at transforming the bank into a comprehensive commercial bank that serves all customer segments, both institutions and individuals. This award is not only a recognition of the development journey we have begun, but also an important Arab acknowledgment of our success in establishing modern foundations for governance, updating the institutional framework, and enhancing operational efficiency, in line with the best banking practices."
Rafai added:
"This Arab recognition is a strong incentive for us to continue building on what has been achieved, and we are committed to continuing to provide innovative banking services that support the national economy, serve the goals of sustainable development, and meet the aspirations of our customers and partners alike."
This achievement comes as the culmination of a series of successes achieved by the bank, under a clear strategic vision led by a dedicated team that focuses on excellence, sustainability, and actively contributing to supporting economic development.
